This isn't anything historic or spectacular, but it's a great place! The Coney Island Emporium at New York New York Hotel/Casino is one of the best arcades in Vegas. Voted Bets 5 years in a row, in fact. Offering Laser Tag, "Bumper Cabs", state of the art VR games and hundreds of classics like skeeball and "Wac-A-Mayor" (as in Wac-A-Mole), and a shooting gallery, it's been decided to literally cut the place in half. The hotel is expanding it's conference and meeting rooms, as well as adding a new nightclub/ultralounge, most likely utilizing the view of the casino from the Nathan's Hot Dog/Häagen-Dazs that shared the space in the arcade. This expansion is sacrificing the beloved Bumper Cabs and Las Tag, as well as the original ticket redemption center, one of the biggest ever, and many of the unique murals depicting turn of the century Coney Island. The new redemption center also took the place of the shooting gallery. The author knows personally that this was an INCREDIBLY fun place to work and play, and wants to give a shout-out to all of his fellow ex-cast members! Check out what's left of it next time you're in New York New York!
