The Desert Inn parking garage was imploded March 6, 2007 at 2:30 a.m. When we first arrived there was no one there, but as the time grew near, the crowd grew larger, and the garage came tumbling down. It was covered in a black tarp, so it wasn't anything spectacular, but it was still a sight to see! The garage was built for the Desert Inn which was demolished in 2004 to make room for Wynn's next tower, Encore. The garage survived as the Wynn's employee parking garage, and is the very last piece of the Desert Inn to say goodbye.
