The Sands Atlantic City

1980 - 2007

Opened as the Brighton Hotel, the Sands hosted Vegas legends such as Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. It consisted of a 21-floor hotel tower, casino, convention, restaurant, and resort buildings. Closed in November 2006, the property was demolished and the tower imploded on October 18, 2007. Yet another resort with the Sands name to come down. It's to be replaced by a multi-milliion dollar resort, Vegas style.
